Sports highlight videos without spoilers. ScoreCover lists every game with the score covered and plays the highlights in full screen, so you see the result only when you choose to. After the reveal, watch the NHL goals as their own videos. The Stats tab has standings and player stats up to the day you choose.
Try it yourself
Two hockey games from early October 2026, shown the way the app shows them. Watch the official highlights, reveal the score when you want to, and switch the team order as you can in the app’s settings.
Final · TBL – PHI PHI @ TBL
Final · ILV – KES KES @ ILV
The videos play in the official players of the NHL and YouTube, which load only when you press play. Their own privacy policies apply.
The problem
You missed the game and want to watch the highlights. Before you get to press play, the result is already waiting for you.
Open a league app or a results page, and the final score is the first thing you see.
Highlight videos often show the score, the winner or the celebration before the video starts.
A news or sports alert can give the result away before you have even unlocked your phone.
Headlines and feeds report the result within minutes of the final buzzer.
ScoreCover keeps the result out of sight until you decide to see it. Even its notifications only tell you that the recap is out.
How it works
Choose the sport at the top, then the league. Games are listed by day with every score covered. A game in progress shows no score or game situation either.
Tap play and the video opens in full screen: the NHL’s short or long recap, or the official Liiga or SHL recap.
One tap shows the score. In hockey, it also opens the game page: goals and penalties on a timeline, with videos of the NHL goals, the periods, team and player stats. Tap a team or a player to open their card.
Leagues
Follow all of them or just the ones you like, and choose which league the app opens first. Each league has its own page with the details.

Videos in the app
ScoreCover plays official hockey videos inside the app: the NHL’s recaps, longer NHL highlights from Sportsnet and the official Liiga and SHL recaps. Tap play and the video opens straight in full screen, with no score in sight.
Straight to full screen. The video starts from the play button in the game list.
The goals as their own videos. After the reveal, play the goals of NHL games from the timeline.
Revealed games remembered. A game you have revealed stays revealed next time.
Stats
Stats give results away, so the Stats tab asks first. By default, it shows standings and player stats through the day of the latest game you revealed in each league: games from that day count, later ones don’t. Pick another day whenever you like, or switch on Live for up-to-date stats, which may reveal results.
Nothing after the chosen day. The tables count the games up to and including that day. Reveal a later game, and the day moves with it.
Live when you want it. Switch on Live in one league or in all of them. Choose how the stats open in Settings → Spoilers → Stats open.
Search players and teams. Find any player or team by name, or tap a row in the tables, and their card opens through the same day.
Teams and players
Once you have revealed a hockey game, tap a team on the game page to see where it stands, or tap a player to see their career. The standings are counted up to the day before the game and a player’s stats up to and including the game, so the games played after it are not given away.
Place, points, games and goal difference, the home, away and last 10 records and the current streak. The NHL conference standings, or the whole Liiga or SHL table with the season’s playoff, play-in and relegation lines.
Number, position, age, birthplace, height and weight, and the NHL draft. The whole career season by season in the regular season and the playoffs, with career totals and, for NHL and SHL players, their other leagues.
Nothing after the game. The standings count the games before the game day and a player’s stats also the game you revealed, so later games are not given away, even if you watch days afterwards.
Opens from the game page. Tap a team, a scorer, an assistant, a penalty, one of the three stars or a row on the Players tab.
The season and the whole career. After the reveal, the goals show the scorer’s and the assistants’ goals and assists of the season, and the player card shows the player’s whole career season by season.
Favorite teams
Choose your favorite teams and turn on notifications. ScoreCover then tells you when their recap is ready. The notification shows the teams and the league but never the score, and a tap opens the recap.
Notifications stay off until you turn them on.

Features
Everything in ScoreCover is designed so that the result stays hidden until you want to see it.
Final scores stay covered in the game list, and a game in progress shows no game situation.
The NHL’s short and long recaps and the official Liiga and SHL recaps open straight in full screen. NHL goals also play one by one.
A timeline of goals and penalties with the season’s goals and assists, the periods, team and player stats, and the NHL’s three stars.
Standings and player stats through the day of your latest revealed game or a day you pick, plus a search for any player or team. Or switch on Live.
After the reveal: place, points, form and the standings as they were before the game day.
Every player’s career season by season, up to and including the game, nothing after it.
A game you have revealed stays revealed the next time you open it.
Watch a recap to the end and the result is shown. Stop halfway and it stays covered.

FAQ
ScoreCover is a free iPhone, iPad and Android app for sports highlight videos without spoilers, from the NHL, Liiga, the SHL, the NBA and the NFL. Games are listed with every score covered, the highlights play in full screen, and the result shows only when you reveal it.
Yes. ScoreCover is free to download from the App Store and Google Play, and it works without an account.
In ice hockey, the NHL, Liiga (Finland’s top hockey league) and the SHL (Sweden’s top hockey league). In basketball, the NBA. In American football, the NFL. You choose the sport at the top of the app. You can hide the sports and leagues you don’t follow and choose which league the app opens first.
NHL games have the NHL’s recap (Short) in the NHL’s own video player and a longer highlight video (Long): Sportsnet’s game highlights from YouTube, or the NHL’s condensed game when Sportsnet has none. Liiga games have Liiga’s official recaps from YouTube, whose titles do not show the score. SHL games have the SHL’s official recaps from shl.se, in the SHL’s own video player. NBA and NFL games have a recap when one is available in your country. ScoreCover does not host any videos itself.
Yes, once you reveal the game. The game page has a timeline of goals and penalties that shows each scorer’s and assistant’s goals and assists of the season, the periods, team and player stats and, for NHL games, the three stars. In NHL games, the goals on the timeline also have their own videos. NBA and NFL games have none of this at the moment.
Yes, once you reveal the game. Tap a team on the game page to see its place, points, recent form and the standings: the conference in the NHL and the whole table in Liiga and the SHL. Tap a player to see their career season by season. The standings count the games played before the game day, and a player’s stats include the game you revealed but nothing after it, so the cards do not give away later games you may not have watched yet. NBA and NFL games have no team or player cards at the moment.
Yes. In the Stats tab, search by name for any player or team in the NHL, Liiga and the SHL. A player’s card shows their season through the same day as the tables, and their whole career.
Yes, in the Stats tab. For the NHL, Liiga and the SHL, it has the standings, the points leaders and stats for defensemen and goalies, plus a search for players and teams. For the NBA and the NFL, it has the standings, calculated from the game results. Stats give results away, so by default they run through the day of the latest game you revealed in each league: games from that day count, later ones don’t. You can pick another day, or switch on Live for up-to-date stats, which may reveal results.
Yes. While a game is in progress, ScoreCover shows neither the score nor the game situation until you reveal it.
Every NBA game, day by day, with the score covered until you reveal it, even while the game is in progress. When a recap of the game can be watched in your country, it plays in the app. ScoreCover has no detailed NBA game data at the moment, such as player stats. The NBA standings, calculated from the game results, are in the Stats tab.
Every NFL game of the regular season and the playoffs, with the score covered until you reveal it, even while the game is in progress. When a recap of the game is available in your country, it plays in the app or, if it can’t be played there, opens on YouTube with the Watch on YouTube button. ScoreCover has no detailed NFL game data at the moment, such as scoring plays or player stats. The NFL standings, calculated from the game results, are in the Stats tab.
Yes. Choose your favorite teams in Settings → Favorite teams, or tap the star on a team card, and turn on notifications. ScoreCover then tells you when their recap is out, and the notification never shows the score. For the NHL, you choose the short recap, the long one (the condensed game) or both. With quiet hours on, notifications that come at night wait until the morning.
Yes. ScoreCover is free on Google Play for Android phones.
A game that starts at 7 pm in New York starts at 1 am in Central Europe and Sweden and at 2 am in Finland, so most NHL games are easiest to watch the next morning. ScoreCover can list them under the NHL’s game day or under your own day, and show Eastern Time next to your own time.
No account is needed, and we don’t ask for your name, email address or location. The app creates a random install ID, not linked to you. It counts how many people use the app and, from version 2.2, how it is used, such as which recaps are opened. You can turn usage statistics off in the settings. From version 2.2, your favorite teams are stored on the server with the install ID, even with usage statistics off. If you turn notifications on, a notification token and your notification settings are stored too, and the notifications go through Google and, on iPhones, also Apple. Most settings, such as the theme, stay on your phone. You can delete your data in the settings. Data is not sold or used to target ads. Read more in the privacy policy.
