- Long: longer highlights from Sportsnet or the NHL
- The final score and the score of each period

- The goals and assists of the season next to each scorer and assistant

- A video of every goal, played from the timeline
Teams and players
Conference standings and player careers
After the reveal, tap a team or a player on the game page to open their card. The standings are counted up to the day before the game and a player’s stats up to and including the game, so the games played after it are not given away.
- The team’s place in the conference, points, games and goal difference
- Home, away and last 10 records and the current streak
- The conference standings as they were before the game day
- The player’s number, position, age, birthplace, height, weight and draft
- The career season by season, regular season and playoffs, with totals
- Other leagues and tournaments, such as the AHL, junior leagues and the World Championships
Video
Short and long recaps in full screen
Short is the NHL’s recap of the game, in the NHL’s own video player. Long is a longer highlight video of about ten minutes: Sportsnet’s game highlights from YouTube, or the NHL’s condensed game when Sportsnet has none. Both open straight in full screen.

FAQ
NHL highlights without spoilers: questions
How can I watch NHL highlights without spoilers?
Use an app that keeps the result hidden. ScoreCover lists every NHL game with the score covered and plays the NHL’s recap and longer highlights in full screen, so you can watch the highlights first and reveal the score when you choose.
What is the difference between Short and Long?
Short is the NHL’s recap of the game. Long is a longer highlight video of about ten minutes: Sportsnet’s game highlights from YouTube, or the NHL’s condensed game when Sportsnet has none.
Are the videos official?
Yes. Short plays in the NHL’s own video player inside the app, so the NHL’s own ads may appear before it. Long is Sportsnet’s game highlights from YouTube, or the NHL’s own condensed game. ScoreCover does not host any videos itself.
Can I watch the goals?
Yes, after you reveal the game. Every goal on the game page’s timeline has its own video, the NHL’s goal clip, so you can watch the goals one by one. The timeline also shows the scorers and assists and their goals and assists of the season.
How does ScoreCover handle overnight games?
You choose: list games under the NHL’s game day, as in the NHL’s schedule, or under your own day. Times follow your time zone, and you can show Eastern Time (ET) next to them.
Does ScoreCover show the standings or season stats?
Yes, once you reveal the game. Tap a team on the game page to see the conference standings, the team’s points and its recent form, or tap a player to see their career season by season, with the NHL draft and other leagues. The standings count the games played before the game day, and a player’s stats include the game you revealed but nothing after it, so the cards do not give away later games you may not have watched yet.
Is ScoreCover free?
Yes. ScoreCover is free to download for iPhone and iPad, and no account is needed.
